Changes

Changes happen all time. That is what life is...changes. Some changes we expect, we know they are coming, we just may not know how they will affect us. Changes can be big or they can be small. Changes can be for the better, and they can be for the worse. Changes can happen when we least expect them. Some very dear friends of ours have been married longer than we have and now they are separated...heading for divorce probably. I was shocked and surprised to hear this very sad news. We were in their wedding...and they were in our wedding....and now THEY are no more. We will never know the whys that set the changes in motion, for that is between them. But they may never know them either. Changes. I try to always be ready for changes...I try to embrace them and make the best of them. Never take life and what you have in it for granted...Changes are always lurking out there...and they will happen. Ready or not.

Letting her grow up

My oldest daughter graduated in May. She is 18 and she thinks she is a "grown-up". She is going to college in the fall...yes, it is right here in town, however, she will be living on campus and learning how to live without Momma and Daddy around. I am excited for her...yet, I am sad that she isn't 5 anymore and doesn't hold my hand and doesn't think that I really did hang the stars just for her. She is becoming such a beautiful person. I am so proud of her. She has the ability to do something amazing with her life. I think I am very fortunate to have her as my daughter. I do love you honey.

Giving this a try....

Okay, so I am pretty computer-illiterate. However, I have decided to give this Blog thing a try. I do love to write...so what better way to practice. =)
This first Blog is going to be short, as I am tired and it has been pretty frustrating setting this up!
